Frequently asked questions
Everything couples and vendors ask before they start.
Using the platform is free. Here’s what that means.
Yes, really. No premium tier, no paywall, no “upgrade to send more enquiries.” The whole couple side is free forever. Vendors pay a flat subscription to be listed — that’s how the directory pays for itself, without taking a cut from your wedding or selling your data.
No, ever. The price the vendor quotes you is the price you pay them, directly. We never see the booking. We’re a directory, not a marketplace — there’s no platform fee, no middleman.
They go to the vendors you choose to contact. Nowhere else. We don’t resell your enquiry to “matching vendors,” we don’t pass your details to third parties. Your shortlist and your enquiries are yours.
Every vendor pays a monthly subscription to be listed, and a listing only goes live once it meets a completeness bar — real photos, real pricing, a real bio. That filters out spam and ghost listings.
Yes. Invite your partner to your wedding workspace from your account settings. They see your shortlist, you see theirs, you both see the running budget, and either of you can send enquiries.
Sign up anyway. You can browse, save vendors, and come back later. Date, region, guest count and budget unlock more useful features but none are required to start.
No. Wedding Vendors and Wedding Venues share the same login and workspace. Vendors you save here and venues you save there both show up in your shortlist together.
Listing, pricing and how the directory works.
A free tier is how directories fill with spam, fake businesses and stolen portfolios. Paid listings mean every vendor on the platform is real and committed. The price is low enough that one converted booking covers years of listing fees.
By relevance. Region match, category, availability for the couple’s date, review count and score, and listing completeness. Position cannot be bought. Newer vendors aren’t penalised — there’s a visible “new to Wedding Vendors” state, not a graveyard at the bottom.
No. A flat monthly subscription and nothing else. The couple contacts you directly, the contract is between you and them. No platform fee, no escrow, no commission.
Your listing shows “No reviews yet” plainly — no fake stars, no editorial badges. Your portfolio does most of the work early on; reviews follow from couples who book through the platform.
Cancel anytime from the Stripe billing portal — your listing stays live until the end of the paid period. Unpublish anytime with one click in your dashboard if you just need a quiet month.
Yes. $390/year + GST — two months free compared to monthly billing. Founding vendors pay $250/year. Same listing, same features, lower annual cost.
Photographers, videographers, florists, celebrants, caterers, bands and DJs, stationery, cakes, hire, planners, hair and makeup, stylists, transport, jewellers, marquees — the whole team. If your service belongs at a wedding, you belong in the directory.
No. Solo photographers, two-person florist studios, one-person celebrants — most of the directory is people running real, often small, businesses. What matters is that you’re doing the work.
