The Red Barn

The Red Barn is a rural wedding venue on State Highway 29 at Karapiro, set on a 500 acre farm with views across the Hinuera Valley towards Lake Karapiro. It has become one of the Waikato's best known country venues and was named Venue of the Year at the 2023 New Zealand Wedding Awards. Ceremonies take place in the grounds, followed by canapes and drinks across the property and a seated dinner in the renovated barn for up to 140 guests. The in house catering team builds the menu with the couple, from banquets and buffets to plated meals. The venue also keeps a large collection of styling and decor pieces, from linen and candelabras to arches and festoon lights, available to dress the barn. It suits couples after a polished rural barn wedding with catering handled on site.
