Lake Mahinapua Hotel

Lake Mahinapua Hotel is a country pub with rooms on Ruatapu Road, roughly ten minutes south of Hokitika on the road towards Ross. It sits beside Lake Mahinapua with the beach a short walk away, so a celebration here can move from the garden to the water's edge without anyone getting in a car. The hotel takes exclusive bookings for weddings and other big occasions, with bespoke packages built around the couple rather than a fixed menu. Events run across the dining room, the parlour and the garden, and the site puts the number at up to 100 people. Food and drink come from the hotel's own Bar and Eating House, so catering and the bar are handled on site. Guests can stay over too, with a mix of suites, cabins and homestead rooms on the property.
