Coventry Arena

Coventry Arena is a new rural wedding venue on Coventry Station at Muriwai, about 20 minutes south of Gisborne on Wharerata Road. The owners have taken the station's old bull sale arena and turned it into a rustic farm venue for weddings and events. The indoor space runs to 340 square metres, with a covered pavilion and plenty of room outside as well. There is a dedicated ceremony spot on the property, a four-metre bar with a walk-in chiller and a separate catering space with a basic kitchen. It seats up to 250 for a meal and holds around 500 standing. Catering and drinks are yours to organise, so you can bring the caterer and the bar stock that suit your day. Bookings come with five days of exclusive use, which takes the pressure off setting up and packing down. It suits couples after a proper country wedding on a working station.
