Wainui Surf Life Saving Club

Wainui Surf Life Saving Club sits on absolute beachfront at Okitu, on Moana Road at the southern end of Wainui Beach a few minutes from Gisborne. The clubrooms double as a function venue with an uninterrupted view of the ocean, from Makorori in the north round to Tuahine Point. The function room is elevated and open-plan, with a bar area and a wrap-around deck that opens onto a lawn and the beach below. It seats up to 140 guests. A semi-commercial kitchen means you can bring your own caterer or self-cater, and there is a sound system and a large TV for the evening. The club is a non-licensed premises, so drinks are arranged separately under your own licence. With beach access, wheelchair ramps and on-site parking, it is an easy, good-value spot for a relaxed coastal wedding. Note the club is not always staffed over winter, so allow time for a reply.
