Melton Estate

Melton Estate is a boutique winery and restaurant among the vines at West Melton, about twenty minutes from central Christchurch and close to the airport. It bills itself as Canterbury's only Qualmark rated winery wedding venue. Ceremonies take place in the gardens, the vineyard or the purpose built Pavilion, a chapel designed for all-weather celebrations. The Banquet Room and adjoining Courtyard Room then host the reception, seating around 150 for a plated dinner. Food and wine are handled in house, with menus built around seasonal local produce and the estate's own labels. An onsite wedding specialist works with each couple through the planning.
