Mona Vale Homestead

Mona Vale is a historic homestead and restaurant on the banks of the Avon River, wrapped in landscaped gardens in the heart of Christchurch. It is one of the city's best known heritage venues for weddings and private functions. The homestead itself seats around 110 for dinner or holds 250 for a standing reception across the ground floor and its outdoor spaces. For larger weddings the Iris Lawn takes a marquee for up to 400 guests, so the setting scales from an intimate gathering to a big celebration. Catering and drinks are run in house through the venue's hospitality team, and the riverside gardens give couples a ready-made backdrop for photographs.
