The Rose Room
Riverside Function Room Overlooking the Rose Garden in Central Gisborne
The Rose Room
The Rose Room is a council-run function space managed by Gisborne Theatres, tucked into the theatre precinct on Fitzherbert Street in central Gisborne. It looks out over the James Parker Memorial Rose Garden and the Taruheru River, with windows and a patio that make the most of the setting. The room seats around 80 for a meal, or holds about 135 standing. A commercial kitchen is available for hire, so couples bring their own caterer and arrange drinks to suit. The rose garden next door is an easy spot for the ceremony and photos. As a council venue it is a tidy, affordable choice in the middle of town for a smaller wedding, with everything close at hand. Bookings run through the Gisborne Theatres team.
