Waipuna Estate

Waipuna Estate is a family run wedding property at Tai Tapu, a short drive south of central Christchurch. It has grown into one of the district's better known boutique venues, built around adaptable spaces that carry a celebration from the ceremony through to the reception. The estate is booked on an exclusive-use basis, so a couple has the grounds to themselves for the day. Guest numbers run to about 85 for a seated dinner or 100 for a standing cocktail style event, and there is onsite accommodation for the wedding party to settle in and stay over. The setting mixes lawns and gardens with indoor rooms, giving flexibility whatever the Canterbury weather does. The owners handle each booking personally from the first enquiry.
