Lodge by the Beach

Lodge by the Beach is a five star lodge perched about forty metres above a private beach at Kaiteriteri, right on the edge of the Abel Tasman. It is a small, exclusive place built for intimate weddings and celebrations of up to 25 guests. Couples take the whole lodge, so the day is completely private. Ceremonies can be held on the beach or in the ocean view spaces indoors, with fire pit dining areas outside for the evening. Four luxury suites sleep up to eight overnight guests. A private chef looks after the food, building a menu around what each couple wants, with premium New Zealand wines to match. The lodge is upfront that it is not a wedding planning company and does not sell fixed packages, so couples arrange their own celebrant, florals, photography and coordination. It suits small groups after a luxurious, low key celebration with the beach at the door rather than a big formal wedding.
