On The Point

On The Point is a lakefront lodge on Kawaha Point Road, on a quiet peninsula reaching into Lake Rotorua. Known for years as Peppers on the Point, it rebranded to On The Point in 2023 and remains one of the district's most established luxury wedding venues. Weddings are held on a scale of up to 70 guests. There is a purpose-built chapel with lake views for the ceremony and an indoor conservatory for the reception, with manicured lawns and gardens running down to the water for photos. A dedicated wedding coordinator plans the day with you. The lodge kitchen handles catering, with the restaurant team cooking around local produce and New Zealand wines. On-site accommodation sleeps about 24 across suites, lake cottages and villa apartments, so the wedding party and close family can stay from the celebration through to the morning after. It suits couples after an intimate, private lakeside wedding where guests can settle in and stay the night.
