Te Tumu Estate

Te Tumu Estate is a rustic wedding venue on Bell Road, about ten minutes drive east of Pāpāmoa in the Bay of Plenty. It sits in a working orchard of walnut, avocado, feijoa and persimmon trees, with a clear marquee set up among the walnuts as the centrepiece. Bookings are exclusive and run by the night. The one night package gives you the whole place for 24 hours for up to 150 guests, with two and three night options if you want longer to set up and wind down. Ceremonies are held outdoors between the trees, then guests move under the marquee for the reception. The estate leaves the day in your hands. You choose your own caterer and suppliers and bring your own alcohol with no corkage, using the on-site caravan bar and fridges. Rustic tables, white bell chairs, a wedding arch and festoon and fairy lighting all come with the hire. On-site accommodation sleeps up to 15, so the wedding party can stay put. Hire runs from $7,500 for one night. It suits couples after a relaxed, do-it-your-way orchard wedding near the beach.
