Black Barn Vineyards

Black Barn Vineyards sits on the north-facing slopes of the Havelock Hills, a few minutes out of Havelock North village. It is a boutique winery with an award-winning bistro, a cellar door and a run of function spaces that couples pick from depending on the size of the day. The options scale from an elopement for two right through to the exclusive bistro wedding for up to 80 guests. In between there is a cottage wedding for 50, the River Room for a smaller sit-down dinner and a riverside marquee site down on the banks for a bigger celebration under canvas. Ceremonies happen among the vines or beside the river, then everyone moves on to eat. Food and wine come from the estate, cooked by the bistro team and matched to the Black Barn labels. Two accommodation retreats on the property give the wedding party somewhere to stay the night. A weddings and functions coordinator works with each couple from the first enquiry through to the day.
