East Pier

East Pier sits right on the water in Ahuriri, Napier's old port suburb, so the harbour and the open Pacific are the backdrop from the moment guests arrive. It is a four-star hotel that runs weddings across three function rooms, each with its own deck looking out to sea. The Ocean Suite is the largest, seating up to 140 for a dinner or holding 400 for a cocktail reception, with two big ocean-front decks. The Breakwater Room and the Port Room suit smaller sit-down weddings, and every room comes with beachfront deck access. Ceremony, reception, dinner, dancing and beds are all on the one site. The kitchen handles the catering, from canapes through to set menus, and the hotel rooms mean the wedding party and guests can stay over. A bridal suite is part of the mix. Being in Ahuriri, the bars and restaurants of the waterfront are a short stroll away.
