Boomrock

Boomrock perches on the cliffs of Wellington's west coast at Ohariu Valley, about thirty minutes from the city yet a world away from it. The property runs to farmland and open horizons, with the ceremony lawn looking straight out across Cook Strait to the South Island. Each wedding takes the whole place. Couples say their vows in the open air ceremony area, gather on the clifftop lawn for drinks and canapes at sunset, then move into the character filled Lodge as evening falls. The Lodge seats up to eighty inside with the rest on an awning covered deck, for a total of 120 seated or 130 cocktail style. The day is run by an in house wedding manager and a resident chef who builds seasonal menus around local produce. Guest transport, furniture, styling and a digital planner are all included. On site accommodation at nearby Pipinui Point gives the couple and a small wedding party somewhere quiet to stay. Elopement packages cover smaller groups of six to twenty.
