Exclusive-use Luxury Lodge Elopements Above Lake Manapouri
Cabot Lodge
Cabot Lodge is a four bedroom luxury lodge on Cathedral Peaks Station, a working sheep, deer and cattle farm that runs to the edge of Fiordland National Park near Manapouri. It sits high on a private hill with Lake Manapouri and the mountains laid out below, run by the McDonald family, fifth generation farmers who have held the station for more than forty years. Weddings here are small by design. The lodge hosts up to fifteen guests, with the courtyard set for an intimate ceremony and the evening carrying on under the Fiordland stars. Couples book the whole lodge for three nights, so there is no rush and the place is yours alone. The team looks after the day from start to finish and works with the region's better wedding suppliers. For photos, a helicopter can lift the couple straight from the lawn into the ranges, to snowy tops, waterfalls and hanging valleys most people never see.
