Distinction Te Anau Hotel and Villas runs weddings on the lakefront at 64 Lakefront Drive, a four star hotel with its own glass chapel looking straight out over Lake Te Anau. The Lakeview Chapel is the only lakefront glass chapel on the lake, and couples who would rather be outside can say their vows on the lakeview lawn, with the Fiordland ranges behind them either way. Receptions move into the Turnbull Room, which seats 140 and has its own entrance, bar and dance floor, or the MacKinnon Room, which overlooks the lake and holds 130. A dedicated wedding specialist coordinates the day, and the hotel caters in house. Because it is a full hotel with rooms and villas, the whole day stays in one place: ceremony, dinner, dancing and a bed for the night. Chapel ceremonies are booked alongside a reception at the hotel rather than on their own.
