Bay of Many Coves

Bay of Many Coves is a five star resort tucked into the native bush of Queen Charlotte Sound, about thirty minutes by water taxi from Picton. It leans into small intimate weddings, with ceremony spots looking out over the water and the surrounding hills. Celebrations are capped at 34 guests, which is the number the resort sleeps, so a wedding here means the whole party stays on site in the one, two and three bedroom apartments and the premium Kereru Suite. Outside the peak summer season the resort is booked on a full buy-out for a minimum two-night stay, giving couples the run of the place. The Foredeck restaurant handles the catering, there is a day spa for the lead-up or the morning after and an outdoor pool and cedar hot tub for downtime between events. It suits couples after a private waterside wedding rather than a big crowd.
