Raetihi Lodge

Raetihi Lodge looks out over the water at Double Bay on the north-west shore of Kenepuru Sound. It welcomes small intimate weddings, vow renewals and milestone occasions, either down by the water or up among the native bush. The lodge has fourteen ensuite rooms and takes up to 25 guests, and exclusive-use bookings run on a minimum three-night stay, so the whole party settles in for a proper weekend rather than a rushed single day. Guests get their own private chef and house staff, with meals and the pace of a boutique hotel. Getting there is half the fun. You can come in by boat from Havelock, Te Mahia or Picton, fly in by float plane or helicopter, or drive the Kenepuru Road. Between the ceremony and the celebration there is fishing, kayaking and walking on the doorstep.
