Punga Cove

Punga Cove is a hillside resort on Endeavour Inlet in the outer Queen Charlotte Sound, reached by boat and looking straight out over the water. Ceremonies are held on the front lawn with the inlet as the backdrop, and the Punga Fern Restaurant up the hill handles the reception with a mix of indoor tables and outdoor decks. The resort takes weddings of up to 50 guests and can be booked out entirely for the wedding party. Accommodation is spread across the native bush hillside, from premium Frond Suites for the couple through to chalets, studios and family apartments, so everyone can stay put for the weekend. The licensed restaurant does the catering, building menus around local produce and Marlborough wine, and the team will work through a theme and the run of the day. Multi-day packages cover a pre-wedding get-together, the ceremony day and a brunch to send everyone off. Punga Cove shares an owner with nearby Furneaux Lodge, a short boat ride around the inlet.
