Lochmara Lodge

Lochmara Lodge sits in Lochmara Bay on Queen Charlotte Sound, reached by a twenty minute cruise from Picton on the lodge's own water transfer. There is no road in, so the eleven acre bush property stays quiet, and the return boat trip for you and your guests is folded into the day. This is a deliberately small venue. The lodge caps weddings at 30 guests and books the accommodation exclusively for the wedding party, and it runs weekday weddings through spring and autumn, from September to November and March to May. A Lochmara staff member acts as your on the day organiser and single point of contact. Ceremonies are held outdoors around the bay, with the reception and catering handled on site using seasonal Marlborough produce from local suppliers. Between events there is plenty to do, from the swim and kayak spots to the resident wildlife and the sculpture trail that winds through the bush.
