Melrose House

Melrose House is a grand homestead from the late 1800s on Brougham Street in Nelson South, two minutes from the cathedral. The rooms keep their period character, with restored interiors, plenty of natural light and richly decorated spaces that open onto established gardens in a park-like setting. Exclusive use of the house for a wedding starts from $1,100 plus GST and seats up to 50 guests at tables, which makes it a natural fit for smaller celebrations. There is parking on site, a rarity this close to town. Catering comes from Melrose Cafe, the fully licensed cafe operating from the house, and all food and drink is arranged through their team. A functions manager can be added for the day at extra cost.
