Pihopa Retreat

Pihopa Retreat is a luxury heritage property on Waimea Road in Bishopdale, a few minutes from central Nelson. The estate takes on a select number of weddings each season, with ceremonies held on the garden lawn, under the heritage woodland canopy or in the historic chapel, which seats 120. Receptions run in a marquee on the lawn and the grounds are yours exclusively for the celebration. The premier package covers three days of sole use, festivities until midnight on the day and a garden gathering the morning after. Guest lists can reach 200. Accommodation is part of every booking: five luxury suites sleeping up to ten guests, plus a honeymoon suite for the newlyweds. All suppliers and planners are pre-approved by the retreat, so the day is coordinated through one of their preferred wedding planners. Published packages sit at $15,900 for a wedding-only booking and $36,800 for the full wedding and reception package, with catering, marquee and styling arranged separately.
