The Honest Lawyer

The Honest Lawyer is an English style country pub on the Monaco peninsula, where the lawn runs to the water's edge about ten minutes from central Nelson. Ceremonies are held at The Point, an open waterside lawn looking across to the hills, or in the more sheltered courtyard, which turns into a dance floor later in the evening. Receptions centre on the Banquet Room, a Tudor styled space with dark timber panelling, historic red brickwork and its own serviced private bar. It seats up to 60 guests for formal dining or 70 cafe style, and bi-fold doors open onto the adjoining courtyard for easy indoor outdoor flow. The kitchen works with each couple on a menu to suit tastes and budget, with dietary needs covered. On-site accommodation means the wedding party can stay put, and there is a honeymoon suite for the newlyweds' first night.
